Correct Answer: Option A — 0°

Polaris is assumed to bear 000° True. With a bearing of 359.8° pgc, the gyro error is 0.2° E. Applying this to the heading 279° pgc yields a True heading of 279.2°. Using the formula Compass + Deviation = Magnetic and Magnetic + Variation = True, deviation calculates to 0°.
